The Covid-19 pandemic is presenting UK business, industry and trade with an unprecedented challenge.
During these difficult times, Steelco UK, along with our sister company Fowle & Co, continue to work diligently to maintain a steady supply chain across our network of UK clients. Our focus is on leveraging our capacity and resources to produce essential supplies for our clients in those industries where steel forms the foundation of their production and is critical to maintaining baseline services.
We are proud of our team, who continue to work hard to fulfil our commitments to our clients and have adapted our working structures and processes in line with the advice of the Chief Medical Officer and the Site Operating Procedures (SOP) to keep us safe. As government guidance evolves, we will continue to monitor this, and make adaptations as recommended.
Steel is the foundation of many parts of the UK infrastructure, and we are committed to prioritising supplies urgently needed to construct new medical facilities, and strengthen the capacity of the NHS to support us all through this. We are proud to play our part in this extraordinary national effort to expand the capacity of our healthcare system to provide critical care to those who need it most.
The team here are also grateful to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy for their
support and guidance to help keep the bedrock of UK industry running, in challenging circumstances and with our health as the utmost priority.
Where our capacity has been impacted by staffing shortages, we are working flexibly to provide core services and a consistent supply of the most urgent materials. We are working alongside our customers, wherever possible, to plan for requirements in advance to ensure that we have planned our processes to fulfil those needs efficiently.
